Foundational Family Services: Video Game Night for Children and Youth (Part 4)

FreeThis 4-Week group is being offered for children aged 8+ to get together to discuss video games and strategies, all while tackling the topic of emotional regulation. There will be large group activities, as well as small group activities based on age. We will look at what emotions are, how to recognize different emotions, and some coping strategies to use!
We will also be focusing on: comfortable and uncomfortable emotions, anxiety and anger, jealousy and gratitude, and different coping strategies we can use!
This group is being held every Thursday for 4 weeks starting on March 11th at 6:30PM. The following sessions will be on:
– Thursday, March 18 from 6:30-7:15PM
– Thursday, March 25 from 6:30-7:15PM
– Thursday, April 1 from 6:30-7:15PM
This workshop is funded by the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) as a Foundational Family Service.
Requirements: This group has a maximum of 8 participants. For children aged 8-18 years old with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Tech Requirements: Must have the ability to connect to Zoom (Computer or handheld devices, such as a tablet or cellphone).
