This group will teach the basics of navigating the internet safely. Includes discussion on security, etiquette, and identifying scammers.
This two session group is intended for adults who would like to learn more about Internet Safety. We will cover the basics of Internet etiquette and maintaining security when using the Internet for recreation or professional needs. Among the topics discussed are how to protect yourself from phishing, making safe passwords, protecting your accounts from theft, gaming and money traps in apps, how to identify fraudsters or predators, and how to navigate online relationships.
We suggest that participants have a working ability to use the internet unsupervised.
This 2-Part workshop is being held from 10AM-12PM on Thursday, February 25th AND Thursday, March 4th.
Tech Requirements: Must have the ability to connect to Zoom (Computer or handheld devices, such as a tablet or a cellphone).
