Creative Connections: A Hangout for Kids with Autism
Join us for Creative Connections, a fun and welcoming event designed especially for children ages 6 to 12 with Autism. This sensory-friendly hangout offers a relaxed and supportive environment where kids can be themselves, make new friends, and explore a variety of engaging activities at their own pace. 🧩💡🎨
🎨 Activities Include:
🎨 Craft Corner – Express creativity with paints, markers, stickers, and simple take-home art projects
🧱 LEGO Zone – Build solo or collaborate with others using loads of colorful bricks
🎲 Game Spot – Enjoy easy-to-learn tabletop games and cooperative play
🌀 Play-Doh Station – Squish, roll, and mold to your heart’s content
💬 Chill Space – A quiet area with cozy seating and calming sensory tools for anyone needing a break
Parents and caregivers are welcome to stay and connect while the kids explore, or they are free to drop off their children. Our space is structured, but flexible—kids can move freely between activities and participate as much or as little as they like. Come create, play, and connect in a safe and understanding space built just for them!

📍 Location: Main office @ 150 O’Carroll Ave, Peterborough
🅿️ Drop-Off Instructions: Parents and caregivers should park in the upper/lower parking lot, make their way to the front of the building and drop off their child at the main doors. An Autism Services rep will be there to meet the teens, introduce themselves, and get the fun started!
Note: This event is for children registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and between the ages of 6 and 12. An OAP number is required to register.
