🍪 Mix, bake, and make friends! Join our Tuesday Evening Baking Club for ages 9–13. Learn life skills while having sweet fun! 🎂

We’re turning Tuesday evenings into a recipe for fun and learning! 🍰 Join our Tuesday Evening Baking Club, a monthly group designed to help kids build essential life and social skills through hands-on baking activities.

🍩 Each session is packed with opportunities to:

  • ✅ Follow step-by-step instructions

  • ✅ Practice teamwork and communication

  • ✅ Take turns and solve problems together

  • ✅ Build independence and confidence

Baking isn’t just about tasty treats—it’s a playful way to learn measuring, sequencing, patience, and flexibility. 🥣 Kids will work toward a shared goal while developing emotional regulation and peer interaction skills in a supportive, welcoming environment.

This one-hour group is perfect for children who want to learn, connect, and have fun while gaining practical skills they can use at home, school, and beyond.

Note: This event is for children registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and between the ages of 9 and 13. An OAP number is required to register.

Come hang out with other teens! Canopy Support Services invites you to join us for a Teen Chill & Chat event. This is a fantastic opportunity for your teen to connect with peers, practice social skills, and have a great time. Designed for children aged 12-17 with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP), this event promises a fun and supportive environment.

During the session, your teen will have the chance to participate in a variety of games and activities, and there will be plenty of opportunities to chat and make new friends. And the best part? PIZZA will be provided! 🍕 It's a perfect setting for teens to relax, socialize, and enjoy themselves.

  • Location: Cobourg office at 975 Elgin Street West

This social event is an opportunity to share experiences, provide guidance, and offer support to one another. Whether you're looking to exchange tips, discuss challenges, or simply enjoy some conversation with others who understand, this is the perfect chance to connect. 💕

For those interested, there will also be opportunities to learn about updates to the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and the range of services Canopy offers. However, the focus remains on fostering a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where caregivers can come together, chat, and create a sense of community. 🤝

What’s Happening During the Event?

  • 🧩 Collaborative Play Stations
    Children can build with LEGO®, dive into pretend‑play materials, or try turn‑taking games that support shared attention and cooperation — all while having fun.

  • 🌈 Sensory Exploration Zone
    From sensory bins to fidgets to calming play options, kids can explore textures, movement, and soothing materials in a way that feels comfortable and engaging.

  • 🎨 Creative Craft Corner
