🍪 Mix, bake, and make friends! Join our Tuesday Evening Baking Club for ages 9–13. Learn life skills while having sweet fun! 🎂

We’re turning Tuesday evenings into a recipe for fun and learning! 🍰 Join our Tuesday Evening Baking Club, a monthly group designed to help kids build essential life and social skills through hands-on baking activities.

🍩 Each session is packed with opportunities to:

• ✅ Follow step-by-step instructions

• ✅ Practice teamwork and communication

• ✅ Take turns and solve problems together

• ✅ Build independence and confidence

Baking isn’t just about tasty treats—it’s a playful way to learn measuring, sequencing, patience, and flexibility. 🥣 Kids will work toward a shared goal while developing emotional regulation and peer interaction skills in a supportive, welcoming environment.

This one-hour group is perfect for children who want to learn, connect, and have fun while gaining practical skills they can use at home, school, and beyond.

• 📍 Location: Main office @ 150 O’Carroll Ave, Peterborough

• 🅿️ Drop-Off Instructions: Parents and caregivers should park in the upper/lower parking lot, make their way to the front of the building and drop off their child at the main doors. An Autism Services rep will be there to meet the kids, introduce themselves, and get the fun started!

Note: This event is for children registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and between the ages of 9 and 13. An OAP number is required to register.

👩‍🔬🔬 Enjoy a night filled with exciting, hands-on science experiments, make new friends, and have a blast exploring the wonders of science in a welcoming setting. 🔍🧬

Join us for a fantastic evening of curiosity, creativity, and fun as we dive into simple, interactive science experiments, learn new skills, and make new friends. It’s the perfect way to explore science while having fun and practicing teamwork in a friendly, welcoming environment! Designed for those aged 6-12 year olds with ASD. Max 8 participants.

🖍️ Snip, glue & create! Join our Thursday Arts & Crafts Club for ages 8–11. Build skills while making masterpieces! ✂️✨

Get ready to unleash creativity and learn new skills! 🎨 Our Arts & Crafts Evening Group is a monthly program designed for kids ages 8–11 to explore art while building important life and social skills.

Each session features fun, age-appropriate projects that encourage:

• ✅ Building Confidence

• ✅ Connecting with peers

• ✅ Develop skills that carry over to home, school, and community

• ✅ Following directions and staying on task

• ✅ Completing projects from start to finish

• ✅ Asking for help and sharing materials

• ✅ Cooperating and interacting with peers

Arts and crafts naturally promote patience, flexibility, fine motor coordination, and emotional regulation. ✂️ Kids will practice turn-taking, problem-solving, and independence—all while expressing creativity and making something they can be proud of!

☕ Chat, share, and support! Join us at Canopy Support Services’ Coffee & Connect for Peterborough caregivers of children with ASD.

Join Canopy Support Services staff for a warm and welcoming Coffee & Connect designed especially for parents and caregivers of children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). 🌟

Connect over a cup of coffee with other parents and caregivers in a casual and supportive environment. This social event is an opportunity to share experiences, provide guidance, and offer support to one another. Whether you're looking to exchange tips, discuss challenges, or simply enjoy some conversation with others who understand, this is the perfect chance to connect. 💕

For those interested, there will also be opportunities to learn about updates to the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and the range of services Canopy offers. However, the focus remains on fostering a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where caregivers can come together, chat, and create a sense of community. 🤝

🅿️ Parking: Use the upper or lower parking lots. Enter through the front door at Reception. An Autism Services representative will greet you and guide you to the meeting location.
