Embark on an epic journey in our 3-week Dungeons & Dragons group, designed specifically for teens aged 13-17 with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). This immersive, fantasy role-playing game offers a unique opportunity to explore diverse worlds—be it medieval, outer space, or dystopian—as a fantasy character of your choice, such as an Elf, Barbarian, Orc, or Halfling.

Guided by a Dungeon Master, you and your teammates will work together as a 'party' to complete quests, missions, and adventures. Whether you're overcoming an evil three-headed being, fighting to save humanity from brain-harvesting aliens, enjoying a homecooked meal in a local tavern, or solving the mystery of the missing scroll, the choices and adventures are endless. Your fate is left in the hands of the dice!

Event Details:

  • Dates: Tuesdays in July! July 8th, 15th, and 29th!

  • Time: 4:30PM - 5:30PM

  • Location: Main Office @ 150 O'Carroll Ave, Ptbo (Please park in the lower parking lot and proceed to the side doors labeled "AUTISM SERVICES")

Calling all Adventurers! Explore fantasy worlds, complete quests, and make friends in this 3-week Dungeons & Dragons group! 🐲

Embark on an epic journey in our 3-week Dungeons & Dragons group, designed specifically for teens aged 13-17 with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). This immersive, fantasy role-playing game offers a unique opportunity to explore diverse worlds—be it medieval, outer space, or dystopian—as a fantasy character of your choice, such as an Elf, Barbarian, Orc, or Halfling.

Guided by a Dungeon Master, you and your teammates will work together as a 'party' to complete quests, missions, and adventures. Whether you're overcoming an evil three-headed being, fighting to save humanity from brain-harvesting aliens, enjoying a homecooked meal in a local tavern, or solving the mystery of the missing scroll, the choices and adventures are endless. Your fate is left in the hands of the dice!

Event Details:

  • Dates: Tuesdays in August! August 12th, 19th, and 26th!

  • Time: 4:30PM - 5:30PM

  • Location: Main Office @ 150 O'Carroll Ave, Ptbo (Please park in the lower parking lot and proceed to the side doors labeled "AUTISM SERVICES")

  • Participants: Maximum of 10 participants

  • Requirements: OAP number required for registration

Players do not need to bring anything to join, but are welcome to bring their own dice and/or character sheets if they have them. This group is a fantastic way for teens to develop social skills, teamwork, and creativity in a supportive and engaging environment.

Upon arrival, an Autism Services representative will meet with you, introduce themselves, and show your teen into the building. We look forward to embarking on this adventure with you!

A calm, colorful, and hands-on event for children ages 8–12 on the autism spectrum!

Get ready to squish, swirl, sparkle, and smile—this is a joyful celebration of creativity, textures, and sensory exploration. Sensory Explorers Afternoon offers a relaxed, no-pressure environment where everyone is welcome, supported, and encouraged to express themselves through touch, color, and imaginative play.

🎨 Activities Include:

  • 💫 Glitter Jar Station – Create your own calming jar to shake, swirl, and take home!

  • 🧼 DIY Slime Lab – Stretchy, squishy fun with customizable colors, scents & textures

  • 🌈 Playdough Creations Corner – Mold and shape with soft, colorful dough. Natural scents and tools provided for sensory fun.

  • Learn About Autism: Gain a better understanding of your sibling's condition.

  • Support Your Sibling: Discover ways to support your sibling while taking care of your own feelings.

  • Self-Care Activities: Enjoy activities that help you recharge and have fun.

  • Share Experiences: Connect with other siblings, share your experiences, and feel understood.

This in-person event will take place at our Cobourg office, providing a safe and supportive environment for your child to learn and grow. 🌟

During this one-hour session, your child will have the opportunity to interact with peers, play games, and develop essential social skills such as conversation techniques, sharing, and tolerating others. Join Canopy Support Services for a Teen Chill & Chat! Connect, play games, and enjoy time with other teens! 🎮🗣️

Come hang out with other teens! Canopy Support Services invites you to join us for a Teen Chill & Chat event. This is a fantastic opportunity for your teen to connect with peers, practice social skills, and have a great time. Designed for children aged 12-17 with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP), this event promises a fun and supportive environment.

During the session, your teen will have the chance to participate in a variety of games and activities, and there will be plenty of opportunities to chat and make new friends. It's a perfect setting for teens to relax, socialize, and enjoy themselves.

🌟 Join Us:

  • Location: Main office @ 150 O’Carroll Ave, Peterborough

  • Drop-Off Instructions: Parents and caregivers should park in the upper/lower parking lot, make their way to the front of the building and drop off their teen at the main doors. An Autism Services rep will be there to meet the teens, introduce themselves, and get the fun started!
