A Canopy Cares Holiday Fundraiser

Join us in partnership with Sable & Sage Co. for a Canopy Cares Holiday Fundraiser Workshop: Sleigh the Night Away! 🌲


Immerse yourself in an evening of community spirit featuring Christmas crafts, tunes, coffee, tea and festive treats. 🌟


What to Expect: Your ticket includes a 12 x 20 sleigh with four (4) design options including stain & paint colour as well as seasonal greenery. You will also receive coffee, tea and festive treats as well as a $20 donation receipt. This sleigh is light enough to hang on your front door and sturdy enough for indoor/outdoor decor!


Added Bonus: Your presence will directly support the Canopy Cares Support Fund! This fund was created in 2022 with the purpose of looking to strengthen the Canopy Community by expanding our resources and leveraging our expertise to identify and bridge gaps for those with intellectual disabilities, Autism and/or FASD. With this support, we aim to ensure equitable access to opportunities that empower and uplift the individuals and families we serve - helping them grow, learn, and develop the skills needed to enhance their quality of life. 📍 Location: The North End Diner in Peterborough (Unit E-809 Chemong Road) 

✂️ This is a DIY workshop meaning folks need to be able to complete basic skills like staining, painting and using a hot glue gun. 


You will need to choose one of the four options below when confirming your ticket. Write down the number of the sleigh design you like. Note, option #3 (Custom Last Name) you will need to provide the spelling of the name you would like included.

3rd Annual Canopy Cares Inclusivity Carnival!

We are absolutely thrilled to invite you to the 3rd Annual Canopy Cares Inclusivity Carnival, a joyful celebration of community, connection, and inclusion! Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 13th, and join us from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the beautiful Dixon Park for a day packed with fun, laughter, and meaningful moments.

This year, we’re making it even easier for everyone to participate. For the first time, individuals can register independently and bring along their support worker at no additional cost. It’s all part of our commitment to creating a welcoming and accessible space for everyone in our community.

🌟 What to Expect at the Carnival 🌟

The Canopy Cares Inclusivity Carnival is all about celebrating diversity and bringing people together through shared experiences. We’ve lined up an exciting roster of entertainment and activities for all ages and abilities. Enjoy live performances from local talents including Betty BakerSarah Cee, Dancers from Imagine Dance Studio and the mesmerizing Peterborough Academy of Circus Arts.

Hungry? Grab a delicious BBQ lunch served by the friendly folks at the East City Lions. Kids and families will love the face paintingarts & crafts tentpopcorncotton candy, and the ever-popular “Zen Den” Sensory Tent provided by Autism Home Base. Don’t miss the Family Fun Tattoo Pop-Up hosted by Mike’s Tattoos, and be sure to enter our 50/50 draw and raffle prizes for a chance to win something special!

✨ New Features for 2025! ✨

We’re always looking for ways to make the Carnival even more exciting, and this year we’ve added several new attractions! Try your luck at the Dunk Tank, explore the Touch a Race Car experience, or get creative at our Tie Dye Station — just bring your own item to dye and make it your own!

We’re also introducing a Henna & Glitter Glam Bar, perfect for adding a little sparkle to your day. And in recognition of FASD Awareness Month, our FASD program will be hosting a special area with button makingrock painting, and other hands-on activities. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the important work this program does and how it supports our community.

☀️ August 18–22 | Every Morning | Ages 8–12

Calling all awesome kids with intellectual disabilities—get ready for five mornings of fun, friendship, and fantastic activities!

Our amazing BCS Consultants are running a FREE half-day summer camp packed with games, laughter, and learning. While we’re having a blast, we’ll also be building super social skills—like teamwork, communication, and confidence!

  • New friendships

  • Supportive, skilled staff

  • A safe and inclusive space to shine!

Spaces are limited, so don’t miss out on this exciting summer adventure! 🌈

🚶‍♂️ Important Notes for Camp Participation 🚶‍♀️

To ensure a safe and successful experience for everyone, please note the following requirements:

  • Campers must be between 8-12 yrs old and have a diagnosed Intellectual Disability

  • Campers must be able to walk independently with the group to nearby parks and activity locations.

  • Campers must be able to use the washroom independently—support with toileting will not be provided.

  • Campers must not exhibit severe challenging behaviour

📝 Once you’ve submitted the registration form, a member of our team will give you a call to complete a “Group Readiness” intake. This quick chat helps us make sure the camp is the right fit and sets your child up for a great time!
