A Fun-Filled Outdoor Social Experience for Children with ASD (Ages 6–12)

Looking for a fun and supportive way for your child to connect with peers this summer? Join us for an exciting outdoor social event designed specifically for children ages 6–12 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Held in a safe, fenced outdoor play space, this engaging event combines water-based fun with structured social learning opportunities. Children will enjoy a variety of activities while building friendships, confidence, and important social skills in a welcoming and supportive environment.

What to Expect

Participants will enjoy:

• Sprinklers and water play stations

• Interactive water games

• Team challenges and group activities

• Sensory-friendly summer experiences

• Outdoor movement and play opportunities

Supported Social Skills Development

Throughout the event, experienced staff will provide guided support and coaching to help children practice age-appropriate social, communication, and play skills.

Children will have opportunities to develop:

Event Details

Location: Main Office — 150 O’Carroll Ave, Peterborough

📅 Date & Time: Wednesday August 19, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

🚗 Drop-Off Instructions: Parents and caregivers should park in the lower parking lot and use the side doors to access the Autism Services Clinic. An Autism Services representative will greet your child, provide support, and help get the fun started! 🎉

Please Note: This group is for children aged 6-12 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who are registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). Limited spots available! This group can accommodate a maximum of 8 participants, ensuring a personalized and engaging experience.
